Blow Dryer Fail: Melting CHI

You would think that a blow dryer that blows hot air would actually take the heat.

This is my Nano CHI. I love CHI. I don't love that this blow dryer melted after I used my diffuser.

20 years of doing hair and with all the tools I have owned, I have NEVER seen a blow dryer meltdown...

Dear CHI: Please send me a new blow dryer or my money back. Thanks.

Yup, BeautyPrincess, unbelievable is a perfect word for my meltdown.

BTW - checked out your blog! LOVE it! I wish I was that technical to know how to make such a pretty colourful layout. Nice blog. Good job!

Hi Lady when I was teenager my favorite Vidal Sasson hair dryer melted in my hand while I was blow drying my hair the buttons fell off in my hand then caught on fire. Talk about freaking me out I've had fear of those things ever since lol and now I do hair on set hilarious I hope you get your money back--you should!

You know what happened your talents were to hot for the blow dryer Smiling

Anonymous,

Ok. I laughed. Then while laughing I thought 'I shouldn't be laughing just in case you got hurt' I hope you were unscathed with only the need for a new blower.

I am totally using the 'talent is too hot for the blow dryer'. Funny stuff.

A little update: CHI will replace it but cautioned me that this model is NOT to be used with a diffuser...

Andrea , I've been menaing to comment ever since I saw this post. I'm a hairdresser in Akron, Ohio. And I've been doing hair for MANY years. When Chi first came out with their products I thought they were the best thing since sliced bread. However I've had the problem you've had time and again. Jo Blackwell Preston in NYC introduced me to the SEDU TOURMALINE IONIC HAIR DRYER 4000i. And I haven't looked back. As we like to say it's a blowdryer for adults.

Thanks for that! And I love the 'a blowdryer for adults' sentence:)
I'll check it out. I live in Singapore - so I need voltage for here.

Thanks again!
