You had me from 'Hi Andrea! We'd like to invite you to a chocolate event.'
From the press release:
"For centuries, chocolate has been known to evoke pleasure in our senses, promote the release of endorphins that enables one to feel happy, and is even high in antioxidants.
With its rich heritage of over 180 years of chocolate making, Dutch cocoa connoisseurs, Van Houten, recently launched an initiative to reignite the passion for chocolate. It aims to educate chocolate lovers on its high cocoa content, and appeal to a more discerning crowd."

This was my table setting.

Why I love chocolate: It's an antioxidant. [notice I didn't have spell check with me]

My assistant Mag. She loves chocolate too; a prerequisite to working with me. ;)

Van Houten is positioned to be more a luxury adult chocolate which surprises me then that the MC of the event was Anita Kapoor (I kid). Anita is a great host/mc! She is funny, intelligent and quick on her feet.
It was mentioned at the event that as an adult chocolate we tend to pull Van Houten out after the children go to bed. True! But I don't withhold good chocolate from my children. Zoie just can't have it too close to bed time. You can see what chocolate does to little Zoie Jean here.
Red wine and chocolate... a no brainer. I learned a new French word at the chocolate event: DRAGEE. [notice Anita in the bg and my friends from CHIC to the right]
"Chocolate-covered candy treats are trendy again. Some of the trendiest have an exotic French name: dragee (pronounced dra-ZHAY). The name for these coated nuts or dried fruits comes from the verb for “to dredge.” In English, these candies are said to be “enrobed.” " From the Chocolate Atlas

Who wouldn't want to pop nuts into their mouths after covering them with chocolate?
A melt in your mouth combo: a shot of espresso and a square of chocolate.
