Dear Bullies: Get a hobby. Might I suggest stamp collecting?

I find it surprising the amount of people who have courage to say things online hidden behind the anonymity of the Internet.

You are faceless and/or nameless and certainly nasty.

Stories I hear from other parents who have children that cry themselves to sleep because of their child's Facebook 'friends' who send messages of hate. With Frenemies like these...

I have always had a hard time understanding the 'bully'. The only thing I can come up with is that they lack love and passion in their lives so therefore must be lost souls. I feel sorry for people like that. It must be a hollow life to live. You have the power to change you.

Dear Bullies of the world: What are you trying to do? Are you that insecure that you feel the need to knock people down? Were you missing love as a child and therefore you want to take that love away from anyone else? If you can't have love then no one will?

Years ago I had my children affected by bullies. Both occasions I was told by schools who had apparently adopted the 'Zero Tolerance' policy that my children, the victims, needed to be more tolerant. So much for zero tolerance. One incident occurred in Toronto at the Garden Avenue School and the other at the Canadian International School in Singapore. The funny thing about the Singapore school is we were told that the child's father had given a lot of money to the school so therefore the boy could not be expelled which would have normally been the course of action. Bullies do not see boundaries. Bullies are tolerated.

I am a true believer in Karma. What you send out you will receive.

No, I am not saying we all need to be sweetness, light and love like Gidget - I think an intelligent human being, like yourself, knows the difference between having a separate viewpoint or opinion versus just old-fashioned being mean. And let me share with you that I am not targeting the children here - it's the adults. WOW! Since the invention of the Internet forums the nasty meter has risen.

A question for the bullies: Can you truly sleep at night knowing what you stand for? Knowing that treating others with insult and pain? Or is this your reward? Is this your legacy?

Bullies usually can't function on their own so since misery LOVES company once a wall is torn down it's free range bullying.

BTW: Facebook is discussing allowing children 13 and under to have a Baby Facebook.

NEWSFLASH! Where there is a will there is a way and there already are many children under 13 with Facebook.

''Though this world brings "us" together in many ways that suggest utopian potentials, it also functions all too well as a fertile playground for the darker corners of human nature. ''

" we should be receptive to ideas and change" Quotes sourced here.

I leave you with wise words from Thumper: If you can't say something nice, don't say nothin' at all.

Peace and love.
