Get Plucked not Bushwhacked!

There are so many brow faux-pas; over-plucked, over-drawn, over-bleached and just generally over-killed bush-wacked brows!

Before you blindly tweeze, take these helpful tips with you to an evenly lit window. (over-head lighting will cause shadows interfering with a proper shaping)

  • Start by combing your eyebrows straight up and trimming with eyebrow scissors. Be careful not to trim too short otherwise you will have spiky eyebrows. Try Tweezerman’s Brow Shaping Scissors & Brush

  •  Tweeze excess hairs in the direction of hair growth, which makes a clean tweeze. Try
    Tweezerman’s Slant Tweezer

  •   Fill in brows with short, quick strokes whether using shadow or pencil. If you tend to have oily skin try MAC’s Penultimate, a quick drying brow marker for a stronger, more defined look.
  • Highlight the arch of your brow for added lift. Hint: use the same highlighter in your tear ducts for a glamorous pop to your eye that looks stunning in photos. Try Make Up For Ever’s Star Powder 926

*Not sure what to tweeze? When in doubt, a natural brow is best. Take away the obvious and leave the rest. Try Two-Faced Brow Envy Kit which includes a stencil giving you all the answers in one little box.

Thanks for the tips! Have you tried Dior's new brow pencil yet? I've never liked anything on my brows but this product changed my mind. Such a natural colour and the finest tip ever.

I have not tried the Dior brow pencil. My husband made me promise not to buy more dresses for 6 months so maybe I'll redirect my shopping urges to more for my kit! :)
