Job perk alert!
The Spa Artisan invited me in for a massage.
This is what I had done:
THE RED FLOWER MASSAGE
Healing and Tension Relieving. Allow yourself to be blessed with this healing aromatherapy massage that combines Swedish, Shiatsu and Lymphatic Drainage with gentle to medium pressure, long, smooth strokes to soothe discomforts in the muscles, relieve emotional stress and alleviate tension. Comes with a choice of flower skin massage oil Moroccan rose, Italian blood orange or ocean 60mins | $180
I was greeted in the spa lobby.
Cheron (pronounced Sher Ron), who was my spa artisan, led me to the retail bar where I chose one of three Red Flower skin massage oils for my massage - I opted for the Moroccan rose.
I don't think I would be overstating by saying hands-down the best massage I have ever had - and I have had many hands knead my body over the years. As I floated in and out of consciousness, Cheron informed me that they use heated blankets to keep you warm throughout the service - brilliant! I can't tell you how often I start feeling cold during a massage. Like any experienced therapist, Cheron asked me about the pressure to ensure my comfort. At every moment of my massage there was contact - for those who don't understand that significance: when you are having a massage if the technician removes all touch at any point during your treatment it breaks the relaxing focused om state that you are in and sometimes it's hard to get back.
As I write this reliving the memories I am pretty sure I'll be booking another treatment pre and post the holiday hustle and bustle.
