The French Stall is a restaurant that we go to often. The duck leg confit is out of this world. I think the pommes frites are the best in Singapore! And Zoie Jean (2.5 years old) loves the dory fish. We've been about 15 times since March 2009 - always delish.
I don't want to focus on a food review as there is something way more important than French food.
Tonight at dinner we came across these cards at our table and posters plastered everywhere:

Just in case you cannot read the above, to summerize:
One of the staff at The French Stall is a single mother from the Philippines, her son has been diagnosed with Fallot's Tetralogy, a congenital heart disorder.
Her son needs an operation to survive. It will cost his mother $20,000, of which she doesn't have.
The French Stall is having a charity drive from March 25-27, 2011 where all the proceeds from the restaurant sales (less costs) will be going to save Kurt.
Please go and eat some fabulous French food, and in a country where tipping isn't the norm... please tip and tip big.
As a mother I can barely type this without being teary.
*Fact is - her son lives in the Philippines while she is here in Singapore. For many women from the Philippines who work in Singapore - this is their norm; children back in their home country while they work their butts off sending money home.
Kurt needs this surgery in May 2011 in order to live.
Please share this info.
