On my latest trip to Paris I discovered Inna Modja listening to MTV France while getting ready for our daily adventures - just like MTV anywhere they seem to loop the playlist so I heard Inna Modja's French Cancan a gajillion times; I was addicted and continue to listen to it at home (I bought it off iTunes -which, btw: I buy all my music)

(there should be a video here - if you don't see it, kindly click the post title - OnSugar is having issues me thinks)

I watched La Fille Du Lido recently and immediately wanted to shoot a music video or fashion video - her hair, makeup and styling are all stunning and inspiring. I shouted out to her official Twitter account to see who her team was - if her people respond I will share that info.

This is a screen shot that I took from her video. Stunning right?

black|Up Cosmetics shop here.

Maybelline 24 Hr Color Tattoo in Tenacious Teal. Find more colours here. I LOVE these. Cheap, cheerful and they don't budge until you wash them off.

MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil in Engraved - one of my favourite black go-to pencils because you can work them and they don't bleed. Apply heavily and smudge with a cotton bud for a softer edge.

Tom Ford lip & cheek stain in Tainted Love. I LOVE this and it's easy to work with. Tainted Love is not on their website - I believe it was a limited edition so you may need to ask at the counters. Hurry.

Hair: Clearly au naturel. But if you have curly/wavy or kinky hair go here for tips - these ladies are in the know. Love their tips and curly hair philosophies.

Check out Inna Modja's Youtube channel here.

*Note: I did not do her makeup but kudos to who did! And Ms Inna: if you come to Singapore I'd gladly coiffe and poudre you. ;)

(I used love a lot in this post - which is odd since usually I'm bitter with tainted love - just kidding.)

Keira Knightley stunning; sure at times you want to toss a cheeseburger at her but, posh accent, great actress and a great face for beauty. Ya gotta love her.

Here she is at the A Dangerous Method - UK Gala Premiere.

Keira's skin is showing through but with a semi-matte finish, especially through the t-zone, using a mousse-like foundation will give you this complexion.

Elizabeth Arden-Flawless Finish Mousse Makeup $33.00 USD at Ulta

Starting with great skin? Touch up imperfections with concealer and skip foundation. By Terry Touche Veloutee Concealer $58.00 USD at Barneys New York

To keep the focus on the eyes choose a matching soft pink lipstick and blush.

Bobbi Brown 'Neons & Nudes' Blush $24.00 USD at Nordstrom

Revlon ColorBurst Lipstick, Pink Sugar 006 $8.99 USD at drugstore.com

Apply a warm brown shadow onto your lid, into your crease and under your lower lash line. Love 21 Love & Beauty Eyeshadow Quad $2.80 USD at Forever 21

Line the eyes top and bottom with a smudge-able black liner. Try  MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil in Engraved (colour shown is not Engraved) $15.00 USD at Dillard's

Layer a lot of mascara on the top and bottom lashes. Benefit Cosmetics They're Real $22.00 USD at Ulta

If you need to add some lashes mix and blend for a full yet natural look. Ardell Trio Pack $12.99 USD at Sally Beauty.

The lovely highlight in the corner can be achieved with MAC Shroom Eye Shadow and add a glow to the cheek with Jemma Kidd Makeup Dewy Glow Dewy Glow All Over Radiance Creme, Iced Gold $30.00USD at Beauty.com

I love Keira's relaxed Prada inspired hair. A great way to show a runway to real way translation. [I snagged this Prada backstage photo off of another hairstylist's blog. No need to credit him as it's a public image but his work is FAB, check it out.]

Hair Do: You can get Keira's version by wrapping your hair in front forward on your curling tongs and brushing smooth with a boar bristle brush. Pull back into a bun.

Hair Don't: Just like Keira, don't spray all the hairs down as hair too frozen in place can look like a helmut going from chic to eek!

See a look you want to know how to get? Let me know; I'll break it down for you.

Get The Look: Teal Winged Liner

This was a look from a recent jewelry shoot I did.

Like it? Want it? Here ya go; my secrets:

Base:

#2 FACEatelier Utra Foundation with Guerlain Duo Correcteur Concealer

Eyes:

Base from lid to brow bone with Kevyn Aucoin's The Prime Creme Color in Decadent

Line with MAC Powerpoint pencil in Tealo following tightly along the lashes, wing out at the outer corner. TIP: If you just can't get the wing along the edges equal from left to right line up a piece of scotch tape - yup, stick it on your lid! Follow along peel off, et voila! Tape too stcky? Press it on the back of your hand prior to applying to your lid. I also carried the Tealo under the eye to about mid-pupil.

Inner Corner and waterline: FACEatelier pencil in Rich. I LOVE the results from this pencil - long-wearing with great light reflection

Finish the eye with MAC's new Haute & Naughty mascara. This mascara is genius packaging! Essentially a 2-n-1 that has a light coating of mascara if you open the top tip of the tube or thick and luscious if you open the entire tip... scratching your head and thinking 'huh?!' Just go buy it, you'll see what I mean!

Cheeks:

Nothing like a little NARS South Beach in the cheek hollows layered with a little Orgasm. Simple and elegant.

Lips:

Well, our Chica-Bella here has GORGEOUS lips. I just used Chanel Hydramax + Active lip care - LOVE IT! This lip balm is so smooth, hydrating and a little goes an extremely long way!

And yes... she does look like Anne Hathaway!
