Monique Péan Rose Cut Diamond Necklace $117,915.00 at Barneys New York From the Monique Pean Atelier collection, recycled 18k white gold necklace set with 29.64ct antique white rose cut diamonds.

Or if that's a buck or two out of your budget, try these:

Mini Body Gift Set by REN A great stocking stuffer featuring four travel size bottles of REN's best-selling body products, including the zesty and uplifting neroli and the relaxing and luxurious rose . Features - Moroccan Rose Otto Body Wash 50ml - Moroccan Rose Otto Body Cream 50ml - Neroli and Grapefruit Body Wash 50ml - Neroli and Grapefruit Body Cream 50ml

For that shoe addicted friend of yours Heels Diva are shoes accessories jazzing up simple heels. Shop online here. [Great stocking stuffers too!]

Tangerine Vert Eau de Parfum 100ml, Miller Harris £90.00 - Sicilian green tangerines share a fragrant basket with grapefruit and lemon, seductively muted with herby marjoram, geranium and orange. A base of cedar, moss and sweet musk ensure equal appeal to both sexes.

Now I used to think that fragrance was a useless gift. How do you know what scent to buy someone?? Ok - sure - if you know what they wear then fine, easy peonesey BUT then what? I met up with the ladies at Escentials and picked up a few tips on buying perfume for others:

  • Do they have favourite everyday scents? If your wife/GF/sister is cutting a lemon does she express how much she loves lemons? Note that!
  • Whatever she enjoys doing could have a say in scent. Is she active? Love the outdoors? Fresh cut grass? Note that!
  • Is she a clean freak? Always cleaning - likes things fresh? Believe it or not - note that!

Escentially take note of any possible hint at what she loves to smell or even taste as these can be the making of a fine scent.

Bobbi Brown 'Extreme Party' Eye Palette (Nordstrom Exclusive)  $75.00 USD at Nordstrom or $129.00 SGD at Tangs. Tangs has an estore but not everything is available from their site which they don't seem to tell you... this palette is available in the stores.

*If you are buying for a makeup junkie then the holiday palettes are a great gift idea. There are so many and they do have different price ranges. FYI, holiday palettes are usually seasonal so she is guaranteed not to have it... unless she is a shopaholic.

You can give the gift of a two hour makeup lesson with a makeup artist or a wardrobe revamp with a fashion stylist but this I caution you: MAKE SURE SHE WANTS IT. No woman wants to be told by way of a gift that she needs a makeover - save that to submit her to be on a makeover show!

On the topic of education - why not gift a class?

You can learn to ReStyle your furniture by DIY'ing some furniture updates.

Learn how to do basic manis & pedis for fun or for a side business.

Cooking vacations!?! Sure I'd love to learn how to make pasta... IN ITALY[HB... hint] of course you can check locally if a flight to Italy isn't in the budget after that schwanky necklace purchase (see above). Many local restaurants are offering hands-on experiences with their chefs.

Whole Foods offers workshops too - for those lucky enough to have Whole Foods in their city.

NM Virtual Gift Card, $1,000 at Neiman Marcus of course there is always the gift card [cop-out] option in which case the dollar amount shows how much you really care... Available in other amounts.

I have so many ideas for us gals so this will be a bit of a series. Stay tuned for part 2!

Feuilles de Tabac Eau de Parfum 50ml, Miller Harris. A sexy scent of rich woods, tobacco leaves, spices, Cuban cascarilla oil and pimento berries contrast with a cooling heart of pine needles and velvet sage whilst creamy tonka bean and Malay patchouli. Great for the guy who may be new to the world of fragrance - manly but more sophisticated than a lumberjack.

In Singapore get your Miller Harris here.

Have no sense when it comes to scents? Check out The Whale and The Rose - no nonsense on scents. *a wink & a groan*

Dermalogica Shave System  $35.00 USD at Ulta. Does your guy have skin? He needs skincare. If your man is face cream resistant, start with a gift catering to good skin disguised as a shaving kit then perhaps for his birthday you can give him the whole chi-bang including some fabulous eye cream. Baby steps for your big boy. *wink*

M?naji Skincare for Men Anti Shine High Definition Powder Vision $35.00 at Nordstrom I am not to sure if I should encourage makeup for men... My HB will never use it - although he did accidentally use my SPF tinted moisturizer and I didn't have the heart to tell him.  Apparently this "HDPVTM (High Definition Powder Vision) was developed for professional actors and news anchormen. Due to the improved picture clarity of high-definition television today, professional television male grooming demands flawless coverage; traditional 'pancake' makeup does not provide the desired look." Hmmm... I have never seen a news anchor who didn't look all caked up...

I bought this shirt for my HB when we were just dating from Bluenotes in Canada 7 years ago and it is still going strong! [probably because he refuses to wear it out in public] You can easily get a t-shirt made for the guy in your life for a fun stocking stuffer.

Fred Perry - Classic Overnight Bag (Black/Ecru) - Bags and Luggage $75.00$67.99 USD at Zappos for the hipster art director boyfriend type. Fill it with overnight basics for when he crashes at your pad.

Boconi Bags and Leather - Tyler Tumbled Plaid About You - Office Traveler (Black Leather) - Bags and Luggage  $548.00 USD at Zappos for the grownup BF or HB remind him that his backpack is so college and he gets to upgrade to big boy status.

Have a fabulous gift idea for the man in your life? Do share!!

Beauty Lust Haves: December

Remember - Lust Haves because I LOVE them and you MUST have them. Every month I will post my new beauty faves.

1. Original & Mineral Original Queenie 'set and forget' the key words by O&M. Developed in Australia the formulation freezes hair in place with a flexible, brushable hold. I LOVE it. No flakes and it blocks humidity from attacking my 'dos.

2. I.Myss foundation stamper. Yup. 'Foundation stamper'... it vibrates and you literally stamp the product on. Yes; I laughed BUT it works. The impractical side for a makeup artist is the applicator isn't usable in our kits as the sponge pad can't really be cleaned face to face like a makeup brush - this is great for personal use. I love the way it stamps like a large stippling brush blending as you apply it. I have no idea where to get it outside of Singapore (Watsons here). It is a Korean brand - perhaps PSY will include them when you purchase his next CD.

3. Laneige Snow BB Soothing Cushion spf 50 pa+++ - I was given this in my swag at a recent AMOREPACIFIC dinner at the St Regis - everyone at the table was freaking out over it. The coverage is amazing but it doesn't feel heavy. The only problem is that the colour is limiting - basically anyone darker than me can't use it and they don't seem to carry a variety of shades. The problem with 'one size fits all' foundation colours is they don't fit all.

4. Miller Harris Citron - I am slowly creeping back into the world of fragrance. I spent the 80s addicted to Poison by Christian Dior and suffered through years of migraines, possibly due to 'poisoning' myself.... I have a few scents slowly building up my perfume arsenal and Miller Harris Citron is the latest addition. A fresh scent with hints, hearts and tones of Sicilian lemon, Spanish orange and Jamaican lime, cool mint and basil and a complex base of green moss, Moroccan cedar and cardamom.

5. Softpoint Sponge Applicator by M·A·C - I love this sponge because of the ability to get into the hard to blend areas i.e around the nose and the soft tissue around the eye. The texture is softer than the Beauty Blender (which btw has not found it's way into my kit) so it makes a smoother blend in general for the skin - my Beauty Blender became a cat toy - true story... get the M·A·C Softpoint instead.
