I shared with you my gift suggestions for guys, ideas for us gals, charity donations as gifts and now I share with you some hostess gift ideas. Proper manners would be that every time you visit someone's house over the holidays you bring them a gift. A nice bottle of wine always works but why not branch out from the cliche.

For the Lady of the Casa

I spotted these Fornasetti Profumi decorated candles at Escentials in Singapore.

“So I dressed with remaining ceramics, furniture and objects; so I placed a message in each, a small story, at times ironic and obviously wordless, but audible to those who believe in poetry.” Piero Fornasetti

Seriously cute right? There are other interesting designs so do check them out online.

Jed Root for Francfranc

Jed Root, an international agency that represents A-list hairstylists, makeup artists, stylists, illustrators etc... has collaborated with Francfranc on these artistic housewares themed: "Enjoy familiar to art in everyday life" (from the website translating Japanese to English. ) Any one of these would make a great gift - if you have the space stock up your supply of host(ess) gifts for the year. Great for teacher gifts too!

Francfranc recently opened up its casually stylish doors in Singapore.

Don't YOU just love this pillow case? I thought it was super cute - BTW, not from the Jed Root collab. I may go back and grab some for my fabulous garden lounger.

One of many reasons why not to shop with your 18 year old...

'Originated from Japan since 1992, Francfranc proposes home furnishing products that accentuate space management through coordination of stylish while practical designed items. Francfranc offers pleasing, quality products at reasonable prices. Through an extensive lineup of items at different seasons, our desire is to help customers in creating enriched spaces for an enjoyable daily life.' Francfranc online

They don't seem to be in North America or Europe yet but maybe in the future? Check for Francfranc news here.

If you do bring a bottle of wine, why not bring it in this: MacKenzie-Childs "Flower Market" Wine Cooler $75.00 USD at Neiman Marcus, made of enameled steel with antiqued brass handles.

Add to your host's holiday ornament collection with a Swarovski Crystal Golden Shadow Star Ornament $75.00$59.99 USD at Bloomingdale's. Formed of sparkling Swarovski crystal in a warm golden hue, this star-shaped ornament shines in bold dimension.

I may need to stop my holiday gift blog posts because I am inspired to buy selfishly...

Happy Holidays!

I'm not sure where this came from as it's not even trending right now but I am Lavender Obsessed.

I've pitched some beauty shoot ideas based on using lavender and, well... no one is taking the lavender bait. Mark my words - lavender will be trending soon.

I may just have some sort of beauty esp(n) or something. ;) [note the Mean Girls reference]

So, why lavender? It's a refreshing colour. It suits everyone from a soft pop of colour...

Lavender Blue No.13, $29.00 at Burberry

...to a contrasting statement piece. Sorrelli Harmony Ring  $80.00 by Sorrelli at Max & Chloe [LOVES! Looks like a cuff but apparently a ring]

Lavender can be an accessory, your pop of beauty or your gown; just not all three.

Tadashi Shoji lavender chiffon draped long dress, $259.00 by Tadashi Shoji at Bluefly

Tadashi Shoji lavender asymmetric sequin tulle strapless dress, $259.00 by Tadashi Shoji at Bluefly

Lavender can also be sexy:

Beach Sexy® Sara Sliding Halter Top, $18.00 by Beach Sexy at Victoria's Secret

Or want not rock a pair of lavender skinny jeans?

Rich & Skinny Legacy Skinny Jeans, $128.00 by Rich & Skinny at Piperlime

Nail the Andrea Claire lavender trend with Ms Lippman:

Deborah Lippmann Wicked Game, $16.00 by Deborah Lippmann at Neiman Marcus

The possibilities of fitting lavender into your closet are endless.

Butter Women's Seraphina, $290.40 by Butter Shoes at Endless.com

Bow Knot Headband, $16.00 at Urban Outfitters

I could probably use a little of this:

Molton Brown Relaxing Yuan Zhi Sleep Mist, $38.00 by Molton Brown at Neiman Marcus

"As seen in Conde Nast Traveler magazine . Soothe and relax the senses with essential oils of lavender, bergamot and ylang-ylang. Spritz yourself or your environment to promote inner peace and encourage restful, healing sleep."

I think I've actually started to crave the colour lavender; I guess it's better than craving chocolate...?

CRAP! I'm totally screwed!
